Bandwidth capacity testing, max throughput, and connection quality analysis

MCS MyCapacity measures the data capacity limit of a connection and reports the maximum data throughput for download and upload transfers while eliminating any throughput reductions invoked as a result of TCP overhead.

MCS MyCapacity is an optional component of the MyConnection Server (MCS) framework. MyCapacity is specifically designed to accurately measure the maximum capacity of a connection without the inherent overheads of TCP. MCS MyCapacity reports the maximum download and upload data transfer rates in conjunction with the packet to data ratios. This test profile is therefore specifically designed to answer the important question of "How much data can a connection sustain before data is lost?". In addition the packet to data ratio allows the test to highlight any packet level thresholds that affect the data throughput and data quality. The testing packet/data profile can be easily customized, allowing quick comparison tests to determine which configurations of packet size versus data volume deliver the best performance and quality of service.

By testing multiple data and packet rates over a UDP connection, MyCapacity determines the max amount of data/packets that can fit in a connection pipe before packet loss results.
